Stud partitions and timber framing
Dividing a floor plate up, closing off a plant area, framing a new office out of an open space, or boarding a partition ready for plaster or a finish. On a refurbishment this is usually the first thing that happens after the strip-out, and everything that follows is square or not square because of it.
Covering the whole of the Wirral, Liverpool and Merseyside, and commercial work across the North West, roughly an hour and a half from Liverpool.

01How we do it
Setting out is the whole job. We work from a laser rather than from the existing walls, because in a building that has been through two previous fit-outs the existing walls are rarely a usable reference. The line goes on the floor first and gets checked against the ceiling before a single stud is cut.

Studs are set at the right centres for whatever is going on the face, with noggins where fixings are going to land: screens, rails, shelving, a TV bracket. It is far cheaper to put a noggin in now than to find a fixing in a void later.
We board in ply where the wall has to take weight or impact, and leave it ready for the plasterer or the decorator. Where a partition meets services or a cellular beam we frame around them properly rather than notching through.
