Who we are
McGuinness’s Joinery is a joinery business trading in Southport and the surrounding areas. For any question about your data, contact us on 07923 545449 or at mcguinnessjoinery@gmail.com.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, phone number, and — if you choose to give them — your email address, postcode, the service you are interested in, your preferred contact method and your description of the job. We do not ask for anything else and we do not buy data about you from anyone.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, arrange a visit to measure up, and give you a price. That is the only reason. The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted us asking for a quote, and we need your details to give you one.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your details to anyone.
- We do not pass them to other trades or marketing companies.
- We do not add you to a mailing list or send you marketing you did not ask for.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after twelve months. Where we have carried out work for you we keep the job record for six years, because that is how long we may need it for tax, insurance and warranty purposes.
Who else can see it
Our website and email are hosted by service providers who process the data on our behalf and cannot use it for their own purposes. Nobody else sees your enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us on 07923 545449 or at mcguinnessjoinery@gmail.com and we will deal with it within one month. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
