Commercial joinery in Warrington

Warrington is one of the biggest concentrations of office and business park space in the North West, from Birchwood through Westbrook and out along the motorway corridor. Space there changes hands and changes use regularly, and each turnover is a fit-out: partitions in or out, benching and workstations fitted, boxing in done, and first and second fix carpentry around all of it.

Open-plan floor plates are the norm, which sounds easy and is not. There is no square reference anywhere on a big open floor, the raised access floor has to be worked with rather than fixed through carelessly, and the ceiling grid is usually going in above you on the same programme. Setting out from a laser across the whole floor before anything is cut is the only way it ends up straight.

Most of this work comes through main contractors and facilities teams, and it runs to their programme. We price from the drawings, say what we need ready before we start, and work to the sequence.

Warrington is about an hour from us, comfortably inside the hour and a half from Liverpool that we cover for commercial work. For a fit-out of any size that is a normal working day with an early start, and the travel does not change the price.

For very small commercial jobs this far out it is worth being straight: the travel starts to matter, and we would rather tell you that at the enquiry than build it quietly into a price.

We do take on domestic work here, but it is the exception rather than what we are set up for at this distance. Stockton Heath, Lymm and Culcheth have the kind of larger property where a full kitchen or a run of fitted wardrobes is worth the journey.
