Joinery across the Wirral
We are based in Moreton and we cover the whole peninsula. These are the places that do not have a page of their own, and we are in all of them.

01Wirral
The middle of the peninsula
Bidston, Noctorum, Beechwood, Ford, Woodchurch and Arrowe Park sit in the middle of the Wirral and are mostly postwar and estate-built, with the consistency that brings: regular openings, blockwork that takes a fixing and ground floors that are usually solid. Kitchens, fitted wardrobes, doors and flooring make up nearly all of the work, and because the house types repeat, pricing is quick and accurate.
Bidston Hill and the roads around it are the exception, older and more varied, where it is worth us looking before quoting.
The west side villages
Thingwall, Irby, Pensby, Thurstaston, Caldy, Grange, Newton, Frankby and Greasby run down the west of the peninsula and are largely twentieth-century detached and semi-detached on good plots, with some older cores. Access is generally excellent, which keeps the time on site down.
Irby and Thingwall in particular have a lot of nineteen-sixties and seventies housing with wide openings and big picture windows, and those rooms suit long runs of fitted storage better than most.
The south and the estuary
Thornton Hough, Raby, Brimstage, Clatterbridge, Poulton, Burton, Ledsham, Capenhurst, Childer Thornton, Little Sutton and Great Sutton take the peninsula down to the Cheshire boundary. Thornton Hough and Raby are genuinely rural estate villages with old property and narrow lanes, and both the joinery and the access need planning rather than assuming.
The Suttons and Childer Thornton are later and more ordinary, closer in character to Ellesmere Port than to the Wirral villages, and the work there is the everyday domestic list.
The docks side
Wallasey Docks, Seacombe, Egremont and the roads behind the river are dense terraced housing with the usual history of conversion and reconversion. Work there is mostly repair, doors, stairs and the list of small things that build up in a house that has been worked on cheaply more than once.
It is close to us and easy to get to, which makes a half day with a list genuinely worthwhile rather than something to save up for.

Wallasey runs from Victorian seafront terraces at New Brighton to interwar semis in Wallasey Village, and the joinery is different at each end.
Read moreBirkenhead
Birkenhead has the oldest and the grandest joinery on the Wirral, and the widest gap between one street and the next.
Read moreWest Kirby
West Kirby is large Victorian and Edwardian houses on big plots, and the joinery jobs tend to be bigger with them.
Read moreHoylake
Hoylake and Meols are seaside Victorian and interwar, and the sand gets into everything.
Read moreHeswall
Heswall is built on a hill, and almost every job here involves a floor that is not where you expect it to be.
Read moreBebington
Bebington covers everything from a listed Arts and Crafts village to postwar semis, and Port Sunlight has rules the rest of the Wirral does not.
Read moreBromborough
Bromborough is two things at once: village cores and postwar estates, and one of the biggest concentrations of commercial units on the Wirral.
Read moreUpton
Upton and Greasby are the next villages along from us, and between them they cover almost every kind of housing the Wirral has.
Read moreLeasowe
Leasowe is our next-door neighbour, low-lying and close to the coast, and that low ground is the thing to know before any floor goes down.
Read moreNeston
Neston and Parkgate are older and stonier than most of the Wirral, and the front at Parkgate takes the weather straight off the Dee marsh.
