Commercial joinery in St Helens

St Helens sits on the junction of two motorways and Haydock in particular has grown into a major distribution and industrial area because of it. The joinery is internal commercial work: offices inside warehouse units, welfare and canteen space, induction and training rooms, meeting rooms and the partitions that create them.

Distribution sites have their own constraints. There is usually traffic moving in the building, routes that cannot be blocked, and shift patterns that mean the quiet hours are not the ones you would expect. Agreeing access and timing before the price is fixed is not a formality here; it is the difference between a job that runs and a job that stops.

St Helens itself has terraced and interwar housing and a town centre with the usual mix of retail and office units. We take on commercial work in the town, and the retail unit turnarounds are much like Birkenhead's: a short window between tenants and a fixed opening date.

Newton-le-Willows, Rainhill and Eccleston have more substantial housing, and we will take on larger domestic work there, though at this distance it has to be a job of reasonable size to make sense for either of us.

St Helens is about an hour from Moreton and inside the range we cover for commercial work, so the travel does not change the price on a job of normal size.

For small domestic jobs this far out, somebody local is the better answer and we will say so rather than take the work.

St Helens also has a good deal of school and college estate, and that work has its own calendar: the summer holidays, half terms, and the fixed date the building has to be back in use. A classroom or a training room fit-out that has to be finished before term starts is priced and programmed around that date rather than around our convenience, and it is exactly the kind of benching and partition work we are set up for.
